Choosing the best digital lock for your metal gate
Metal gates are not cheap, so you definitely do not want to choose a low-quality digital lock that will not enhance either the look or security of your gate.
Whether
your metal gate is in a domestic or commercial setting, the 3000 Series of digital locks from
Borg Locks offers a wide range of digital locks to choose from, which will
match the look of your metal gate as well as give you peace of mind when it
comes to keeping your valuables safe.
And
best of all, they come in our Marine Grade Pro finish as standard, so
you know they can handle anything the weather throws at them!
So,
here’s our comprehensive guide on which digital locks you can choose from Borg
Locks depending on your metal gate,
how you want to use the gate, and the lock to function.
Digital locks for small spaces:
BL3030 – this mini
gate lock was created for metal gates with limited space in mind. It has a
smaller keypad compared to other metal gate locks and can be retrofitted to
most metal gates. Additionally, it has back-to-back keypads with a knob turn on
each side so it offers a high degree of security as a code has to be input each
time the gate is used. It also comes with a concealed on-the-gate code change
functionality as we have fitted our Easicode Pro as
standard.
BL3080 – another of
our mini gate locks, this lock has a keypad on one side (also with Easicode Pro
as standard) and a reversible push/pull pad built into the unit allowing a
quick exit from the site.
There
is also an optional adaptor plate kit (part no. S331) designed to change the fixing
points of the BL3030 and BL3080 gate locks from 122mm to 140mm centers, to
allow for retrofitting on existing lock setups.

into the locking assembly, allowing the lock to be opened with a key instead of
the code. It also offers a deadbolt function as standard which locks out keypad
operation when engaged.
BL3130 – a
